CATIA V5 is a high-end 3D CAD program developed by Dassault Systèmes and released in 1981, which can be considered a representative of this category. It has been widely used in the automotive and aerospace industries for many years, and is also extensively utilized in industries such as industrial machinery, electronics, shipbuilding, plant design, and consumer goods. The development of CAE technology based on the CATIA platform allows for performance design that takes product performance into consideration, moving beyond simple design tasks.
